Tanners Orchard began growing apples in Speer, Illinois, in 1947. However, this wasn’t the first Tanners Orchard, with the Tanner family dating back to the late 1800s and early 1900s in Walde, Switzerland. Today, our farm has become a prime destination to enjoy apple picking, tractor rides, home-cooked meals and our farm market. With the addition of birthday parties, we are quickly becoming the go-to location for family day trips, date nights and more.

- Your kid’s birthday party includes a private party tent set up in our Back 40 Fun Acres. This area contains putt-putt golf, pony rides, a pedal tractor corral, “Apple Dega” pedal carts and plenty of other features to climb, jump and slide down.

- Additionally, you can choose to partake in some of the other activities offered at Tanners Orchard. Apple picking is fun for the whole family! Or, you can try to escape our seasonal corn maze. Also, we offer daily tractor rides so you can see everything our farm has to offer.

- Don’t go home on an empty stomach! Each party includes three dozen of our famous apple cider donuts, and two gallons of our delicious apple cider to wash it down. You are also welcome to bring in outside cakes and drinks for your party, and we offer hot dogs, brats and chips for an additional fee.
