Who doesn’t love picking apples in fall? This is a tradition that many families have when autumn hits. Many of you come to see us at Tanners Orchard every year, and for that, we are grateful. You can come apple picking here in our orchard throughout September and October, whether you want to pick your own or buy a bag in our market. Our apple picking farm in Galesburg IL should be your first destination when fall hits. Plus, we have lots to do besides pick apples, such as our Back 40 Fun Acres, wagon rides and the Apple Bin Bakery.
You’ll find a fun family atmosphere in an orchard featuring more than 11,000 trees and 17 varieties of apples. Plus, we grow more than 20 acres of pumpkins, as well as fruits and vegetables. Enjoy a country farm experience with us, where four generations of the Tanner family have been doing this since 1947.
Pick Your Own
There’s nothing like picking your own apples fresh from our trees. Our U-Pick hours include the whole month of September, seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will extend our hours into October depending upon the availability of apples left to pick.
Farm Market and Bakery
Our Farm Market and Bakery are open from August through November. Here, you can pick up anything from fresh cider donuts to caramel apples. Our Apple Bin Bakery sells fresh baked goods throughout the season that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. We even offer a homemade lunch, plus these sweet desserts:

On Festival Days, we invite you to enjoy a ride in our covered wagons to pick your apples fresh from the trees. You can even book your school tour during the week, where we take students into the orchards on our wagons.
Affordable Fun
Coming to see us for the day won’t break the bank. For regular weekdays, the cost is just $3 for ages 3 through 15. On Festival Days (weekends and holidays), the price is only $8 for ages 3 to 55, with 56 and older admitted free. This includes unlimited rides from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last admission sold at 4:15 pm.
