At Tanners Orchard, there’s never a dull moment out on the farm. From apple picking to train rides to our corn maze and petting zoo, there are plenty of things to keep the kids entertained and engaged. On top of that, though, we also host several exciting events throughout the year. A few of our favorite annual activities are as follows:
Peach and Pancake Breakfast
You might be familiar with blueberries on pancakes, but have you ever heard of peaches on pancakes? At our annual all-you-can-eat event, you can try this sweet treat while also sampling some of our other peach products. This event is in August ONLY.
A relatively new event, the Sunflower Experience is a day when you can come out to the farm and celebrate all the joy and happiness sunflowers bring. The event starts with breakfast in our fields. This part of the sunflower festival is optional, but if you want to participate, you’ll need to sign up early because seating is limited. Signing up for our breakfast also gives you early access to the fields, where you can explore, snap photos and pick a flower to take home to the family. After you’ve had your fun in the fields, you can head over to The Back 40 Fun Acres! There several fun activities await, including pony and barrel train rides. This event is in August ONLY.
Sunflower Smores N' More
Sunflower Smores N’ More allows you to enjoy the beauty of our sunflowers in the evening. Running from 6 PM to 9 PM, this adult-only event begins with a hot dog roast out by our fields. You can either choose to cook your dinner at our public firepit, or you can rent a private one to enjoy with family and friends. During this time, we will have a smores bar with plenty of fun fillings for you to choose from. A cash bar will also be available at this time. The night ends with a trip to The Back 40 Fun Acres. This play area is usually crowded with children running, jumping, and climbing over equipment. But since this is a kid-free event, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the entire area yourself!
You might've heard of Grandparents Day, but have you ever heard of Grandparent’s weekend? Each year on the first weekend after Labor Day, we invite you to bring Grandma and Grandpa out to the farm! This two-day event is a fun time to explore the orchard as a family. You can pick apples, visit the petting zoo, or enjoy some refreshments from our Farm Market or Bakery. We will also have a giant rocking chair out for family photos.
If you are looking for a fun Christmas activity for the kids, then you’ll want to attend our Breakfast with Santa! This event features a hearty meal and access to a hot chocolate and hot cider bar. After breakfast, Grandpa Tanner reads “The Night Before Christmas,” and kids can decorate cookies and take pictures with Santa. This event is limited, so make sure to obtain your tickets early! This event is in November.
