Apple Dumplings

Ingredients:
- 2 tart apples
- 2 cans crescent rolls (8 oz each)
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- cinnamon to taste
- 1 can lemon-lime soda (12 oz)
Instructions
- Peel and core apples.
- Cut each apple into 8 slices.
- Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll.
- Place apples in a buttered baking dish.
- Melt butter, then add sugar and vanilla.
- Stir and pour mixture over apples.
- Pour soda around the edges of the baking dish.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
- Serve with ice cream.
