Carmel Apples

Course: Snack

Ingredients

  • 30 medium Jonathan apples
  • 1 1/3 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white corn syrup pinch of salt
  • 2 cup ground nuts wooden sticks

Instructions

  • Wash apples and put a stick in each.
  • Mix remaining ingredients together (except for nuts) and heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  • Boil for 5-6 minutes and remove from heat.
  • Dip each apple in caramel and then into ground nuts.
  • Set apples in paper muffin cups or on wax paper to cool.
