Carmel Apples
Course: Snack
Ingredients
- 30 medium Jonathan apples
- 1 1/3 cup condensed milk
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cup dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white corn syrup pinch of salt
- 2 cup ground nuts wooden sticks
Instructions
- Wash apples and put a stick in each.
- Mix remaining ingredients together (except for nuts) and heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Boil for 5-6 minutes and remove from heat.
- Dip each apple in caramel and then into ground nuts.
- Set apples in paper muffin cups or on wax paper to cool.
