Helpful Trips for Your Trip to Our Apple Orchard Decatur IL
We want to offer you a few handy tips to help you enjoy your trip to our apple orchard Decatur IL. Please follow these suggestions to enjoy the apples you pick and keep Tanners Orchard a fun place for all our visitors.
- The Trick to Getting the Ripest Apples – They are not hard to find. Just check out the apples growing out the furthest on the branch. Typically, that will provide you with the ripest apples available. During the picking season, we tell everyone to pick apples the furthest out to make sure the mature ones go first.
- Pick Slow and Steady – Nobody wins an award for picking apples the fastest. So, please take your time and be careful while you pick apples. That way, you can ensure that you will not accidentally shake apples that are still growing off the branches.
- Be Kind to Others – Remember, many others bring their families to our apple orchard by Decatur IL. We provide many apples for everyone to share. Therefore, please treat other nearby visitors kindly while you are picking. That way, everyone can enjoy a fun experience in the orchard.
- Use Caution When Storing Apples – After you pick the perfect apple, protect it. Apples can easily get bruised without properly handling when you put them in your bag, basket, or bucket. Bruised apples will go bad quicker and cause other apples around them to rot faster, too.
