Things to Do at Our Annual Sunflower Experience
As previously indicated, the sunflower festival at Tanners Orchard isn’t just a festival. It’s an experience—and one chalked full of fun for the entire family. Below is a short list of activities you’ll want to participate in when you visit us out on the farm:
- Eat Breakfast – Set your alarms, because, on the day of our Sunflower Experience, we offer breakfast out in the fields. If you choose to participate in this part of the event, you can enjoy a delicious meal and early-bird access to our sunflower fields. This access also includes entrance to our Back 40 Fun Acres, pony and barrel train rides.
- Take Photos – Sunflowers make the perfect backdrop for photos, and when you visit our sunflower festival near Peoria IL, you can bring your camera out to the field to snap as many pictures as you want. Gather the family together to get a photo for your yearly Christmas card, or dress up to take some pictures with friends. The number of photo opportunities is endless, and no matter what you decide to capture on camera, you’ll have something to remember the day by for the rest of your life.
- Pick Sunflowers – Each individual who comes to our Sunflower Experience will receive one flower to take home with them after the event. Those that wish to pick and purchase extra sunflowers can do so too. Flowers are available either individually or in bundles of five. And if you’re a huge fan of the beautiful yellow flower, you can purchase a whole bucket of sunshine!
