Beautiful Apple Picking Farm Quad Cities Families Love
The Tanner family of Central Illinois has been in the apple-growing business since 1906, and our roots reach across the ocean to Switzerland. We’ve built our local orchard in its current location with intention and care over the past 70 years, and we take great pride in having a beautiful apple picking farm Quad Cities families love to visit. We are grateful for the families that support our endeavor, and sincerely hope to keep working hard to grow fruit for generations to come.
Festival Days
We know you’ll have a fantastic time when you come out to Tanners Orchard for one of our Festival Days this season. Grab your favorite sweater and make the drive to our amazing orchard. You’ll check-in at the red U-Pick shed and pay your admission fee of $3, which will get you a spot on the covered wagon ride to the apple trees! Your senses will dance upon seeing and smelling our selection of over 17 apples, including the delicious and versatile Jonathon, Jonagold, Empire, and Gold Rush varieties. The charge for apples is $10 for a half peck picked and $18 for a whole peck picked. Pumpkins are also available for $6.99 apiece. Please note that U-Pick is available during weekdays, but you will need to drive out on your own as the covered wagon only runs on Festival Days.
Farm Animals
Kids of all ages love stopping by to see our farm animals while visiting Tanners Orchard. We’re happy to be home to some fantastic goats and llamas. You’ll be glad you made time to see them before heading back! Have a look at our map to see what else there is to do at our orchard while you’re here.
Market Goods
Once you’ve picked apples to your heart’s delight, stop by Tanners Farm Market and peruse our selection of fresh apples, pumpkins, and apple cider. If you’re looking for gifts, we also have delicious jams, kettle corn, brightly colored mums, and gourmet food. We’re confident you’ll find something you’ll love. If you find yourself in need of some delicious goodies after your orchard adventure, our Apple Bin Bakery features baked pies, fudge, and fantastic fresh homemade apple cider donuts. Be sure to grab a few for the road!
